In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Italian shipyard Viareggio Superyachts has announced a 67-metre explorer yacht to be developed in collaboration with Milan-based Hot Lab.
The stylish and elegant design was revealed last week at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Michele Dragoni, design partner at Hot Lab, explained that the project was “built around a concept that is very faithful to the original explorer yacht concept.”
The aft deck has been left open, allowing for a number of freestanding sunloungers and sofas, which can be easily cleared to make room for a helideck.
No staircase has been built into the transom, so the entire section can fold out to create a full-beam swimming platform. There is also a glass-sided infinity pool on the upper deck to provide a salt-free swim option.
Dragoni commented, “The play on alternating full and empty spaces as one climbs from one deck to another in the beautiful superstructure is probably the most characteristic stylistic feature.”
The interior décor is described as “fairly classic” with a choice of a six-cabin or seven-cabin layout available. The upper deck owner’s suite offers 180-degree views, his and hers bathrooms and a private study, while the skylounge boasts glazed windows on three sides.
Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the 63.8m VSY Hull 003, which is due to launch in 2018.
