Italian yacht builder Wally Yachts has announced its first model working with the Ferretti Group.
At the Boot Düsseldorf boat show, Wally Yachts introduced its latest model, the “restyled” 48 Wallytender - which coincided with the announcement that it would be joining the Ferretti Group.
Keen to make clear that the partnership will not weaken the Wally brand, both companies explained that the 14.5-metre (48-foot) 48 Wallytender displays “all the distinctive Wally hallmarks”.
Some of the key attributes of the “standalone runabout” includes substantial day boating facilities, such as a complete cabin with a shower for two guests, a galley unit with one fridge inside and another outside, and a retractable passerelle, which also acts as a swim ladder.
Furthermore, the awnings can protect both the foredeck and aft deck from the sun, and the aft seating can either be facing ahead or towards the dining table when at anchor.
Vast storage can be found underneath the whole aft sunbed.
The model will be powered to an impressive speed of 38 knots by two Volvo IPS 650 engines.
Luca Bassani, founder of Wally Yachts, stated at the Ferretti Group press conference in Düsseldorf that the 48 Wallytender demonstrates that the “Wally DNA signature design, proven performance, fun and flexibility continues under the partnership with Ferretti Group.”
He added, “Ever since we entered the power market in 2001, the Wallytender has been a pure expression of joy of the open-air living on the sea and the sheer pleasure of day boating.”
