33m sailing yacht Barong D, built by Wally, has been delivered to her owner.
Developed as an all-carbon sloop and designed by Frers Naval Architecture, her owner is an existing client of Wally, and an experienced yachtsman who had previously owned the 29m Barong C superyacht.
According to reports, Barong D uses pre-peg carbon fibre throughout, and features advanced technologies and materials on her electrical and hydraulic systems.
Her interior was designed by Wally with President and CEO Luca Bassani, and built in blocks to reduce her overall weight without compromising on quality. She features an owner’s suite which has two large beds, two en-suite double guest cabins located below the main saloon, and a crew area with a galley, crew mess, two double cabins and the engine room.
Bassani commented, “Wally employed all its advanced know-how to produce a fully equipped cruising superyacht displacing only 65 tons: two tons lighter than predicted.
“We succeeded in delivering a truly exceptional performance cruiser that accommodates in full comfort the owners who spend several months of the year on board.
“As often happens with happy owners, Barong D is the larger evolution of their previous yachts, featuring similar style and deck and interior layouts.”
Barong D is powered by one Cummins QSB6.7 diesel engine, and is able to reach a top speed of 13 knots, with a cruising speed of 10 knots.
