Youboat, a part of Motors Gate publishers, has released its forecast regarding which yacht features are interesting the luxury yacht market in 2019, giving producers and sellers many reasons to be cautiously optimistic.
According to Youboat, the sales crisis that existed in previous years now seems to be over, and buyers have regained interested not only in luxury watercrafts, but also in less extravagant features, which stereotypically may please a wealthy owner.
In support of these considerations, the boat worldwide retail market in 2018 has increased the sales by 7% compared to the previous year, reaching a value of 22 billion euros, according to boating Market Monitor.
Grégory CHATEAU, Youboat CEO, commented, “Potentially, there’s no limit to human fantasy; and when we talk about luxury goods, there’s no limit to extravaganza as well. The most outrageous requests have been sent to shipbuilders and shipowners by aspiring buyers, as the most important online yacht-selling hubs, such as Youboat, know very well. But it’s also clear that there is a limited number of specific requests that repeat themselves with such regularity, to the point where they start appearing like actual trends.
