Moody Decking and Services Ltd, a leading UK manufacturer of teak decking systems, has announced that it has been awarded the contract to refit the teak decking aboard Lord Alan Sugar’s 55m motor yacht, Lady A.
After recently arriving in Portsmouth from San Remo for her upcoming 10-month refit, Moody Decking surveyed the existing teak aboard before supplying their quotations for repair and replacement to the self-made British entrepreneur, Lord Sugar. The contract was then awarded to the UK business by Lady A’s management team, who concluded that the deck should be replaced.
Scott Moody, director of Moody Decking said, “The commitment and expertise offered by Moody Decking, along with our reputation and recent good feedback from the Shemara Refit Project team made us the only credible company who could supply the quality of teak deck for the prestigious vessel, Lady A.
“After we presented our quotations, Lord Sugar followed up with a meeting with the Moody’s team and found the passion expressed gave him total confidence that we were the only choice for the project.
“Moody Decking looks forward to working with all other contractors involved on the Lady A refit, to produce a finished project that all involved will be proud of.”
