YXXI unveils 127-metre Project #4 concept

French studio YXXI Yacht Design has revealed its latest superyacht concept, the 127-metre (417-foot) Project #4.

Influenced by aerospace and car design, the yacht is designed to provide guests with a luxury experience, centred on sea, sports and entertainment. Equipped with the modern and comfortable features expected of a contemporary new build, Project #4 has attracted interest from major yacht builders and brokers.

All rooms on board boast electro-chromatic glass windows to prevent visibility from outside, and an on-board elevator provides guests with easy access to all decks. The style and general arrangement of interior spaces will be adapted specifically to an owner’s requests.

The upper deck offers plentiful space for relaxation, under the sun or in the shadow of the mast, including a large sunbathing area. The high position allows for a panoramic view of the surrounding environment.

Located in the middle section of the sundeck is a dedicated sports area, which offers a full-scale tennis court and all the equipment necessary for guests to adapt the space to a playground for basketball, football, badminton, golf and a host of other sports.

Forward, the sundeck hosts the owner’s suite, with its own spa and private terrace, while the upper deck below houses the eight guest suites. The main deck is split between private, living and service spaces, with a further six additional guest suites are situated towards the bow.

Other key features on board include a wide 200-metre exterior walkway around the superstructure, a main terrace with swimming pool, a foredeck helipad and a 30-seat movie theatre.

YXXI imagined two different solutions for the propulsion, each of them with two in-line propellers and a battery bank supplied by autonomous generators. In the first arrangement, both diesel and electric engines drive the propellers via a specific gearbox, while in the second, in-line propellers are driven by diesel engines only.
