The Genoa Boat Show is one of the largest events in the Mediterranean, connecting yacht owners, crew and boat enthusiasts with businesses and industry professionals. With both in-water and on-shore stands, the show features hundreds of exhibits.

The Genoa International Boat Show, organised by the Italian Marine Industry Association - Confindustria Nautica, is preparing to launch its 62^nd edition from 22^nd to 27^th September 2022. The show is a leading event in the leisure yachting industry, allowing a selection of high-quality exhibitors to come together, alongside international operators and a tailored, global and qualified audience, keen to do business.

Exhibitors

Exhibitors this year will include leading shipyards from Italy and abroad, returning once again with their latest designs. World-class brands have already reserved their spot, with the top players of each industry segment attending, from motor yachts to sailing yachts. Visitors can also expect a full turnout for the outboard sector, along with a large presence from the equipment and services segments.

The 62^nd Genoa International Boat Show will follow the same successful layout as previous years, offering visitors and exhibitors a multi-specialised format, featuring brand new, redefined services. The show will contain the following five industry segments:

• Yachts and Superyachts
• Sailing World
• Boating Discovery
• Tech Trade
• Living the Sea

The event will take place across a staggering 200,000 square metres of display area, 85% of which is outdoors.

The health and safety procedures will follow those implemented in 2020, with the same protocol fully approved by Italy’s National Technical Scientific Committee, allowing the event to take place in person and in full compliance with the highest standards of health and safety for both visitors and exhibitors.

Events and awards

Every year, the Genoa International Boat Show features exclusive conferences, sports events, roundtables and technical seminars dedicated to the latest news and most pressing issues in the international boating industry. The show is an excellent showcase for design and production, and an essential opportunity for both the international boating market and sea enthusiasts. It is a global platform for institutional, technical and market-related events and updates, compiling key data for the whole sector 365 days a year. The boat show also strongly promotes projects with a focus on sustainability, particularly those related to the environment and the sea, and organises event devoted to innovative start-ups.

The Design Innovation Award was established in 2020 by the Italian Marine Industry Association and I Saloni Nautici during the 60^th edition of the show. It aims to support and inspire excellence across the yachting industry and encourage innovation by awarding exhibitors for their most recent products.

Exhibitors can apply to have a chance to win the coveted prize, designed to promote design excellence throughout the sector, judging the underlying research, innovation, formal and technical quality, and sustainability of the products nominated.
