Why do the restrictions only apply to the southern end of Pampelone beach?

This may be slightly inaccurate, however it does seem that the anchoring restrictions only apply at the southern end of Pampelone beach, thus protecting the local businesses (beach clubs); seams lucky there is no seagrass in those areas!

On the Pampelonne beach is planned in a short term an eco mooring project dedicated to yachting. It will enable to both a safe solution for captains and project the Posidonia habitiat.

A weight of 10 times boat length is a good rule of thumb. The heavier the better, as long as you don't have to move it. Heavy objects like concrete blocks can't dig in, so their weight should be more than needed. For boats less than 25' in length the mooring should weigh 200 lbs. Our exprience Yacht Rental Dubai
