Outstanding set of sails
I just wanted to write a quick note and say thank you for yet another outstanding set of sails and the continued flawless backing that the whole team there at Doyle Sails provide us. It is great to see year on year and with each sail that we order the product, service, custom details and performance just keep getting better. From the initial agreement on price, to the design and aero work, timely manufacture and finally installation and support, you guys try that bit harder to ensure that the last 5% and the hardest 5% is delivered without compromise. Having you be able to work so closely with spar providers is another massive benefit. It ensures that nothing gets lost in communication, luff curves are matched and ultimately sails fit as designed. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that you set a precedent with the complete package that you deliver and I look forward to the excitement of many new sails in the future and the continued use, durability and performance of the ones we currently have. Please convey my thanks to the whole team there at Doyle on behalf of us all on board Mari Cha III.

World wide, world class
I just wanted to say how happy we are with our cruising jib (and the rest of our sails). After about 20,000nm of sailing (the yacht has done more than 46,000nm) then to use it in a race or two with great success, speaks volumes for the brand and the maintenance program. World wide, world class.

Design team put in a huge amount of effort
There is a lot of talk about different foils we have on Hugo Boss, but as always the speed edge we have does not come from one place. The other place that we are completely different to the other IMOCA 60’s is our sails. No other team is with Doyle Sails and obviously the sails play a huge part in this race. With the number of sails limited to nine and that they have to be light enough to be used single-handedly and strong enough to survive the world’s toughest ocean race, it’s a tough challenge. The design team lead by Richard Bouzaid put in a huge amount of effort in the last two years to help us with the right suit of sails for Hugo Boss. The Stratis product lends itself brilliantly and I would be very surprised if anyone has anything as light and as durable as we have. It just goes to show that if you want something different, something fast or you want an edge - best not to follow the crowd!

Open mind and customer focused
Doyle Sails' ability to approach a project with an open mind and to be entirely customer focused is a refreshing change for a sailmaker

World-class sailmaker
We are stoked to have Doyle Sails on board with the New Zealand SailGP Team. To have a world-class sailmaker that's owned and operated out of New Zealand and shares our environmental values is a pretty special alliance to have.

Passionate, focused and very intelligent
Infotrack have sailed under North Sails for all our racing career and this year in 2018, we have decided to give Doyle Sails the opportunity to provide inventory due to a few factors. 1 - Doyle have developed a new ’Cableless’ sail system which is very interesting as well as lighter. 2 - Doyle, via Richard Bouzaid, have reviewed much of our inventory with the sole motivation of betterment or questioning the questionable. 3 - Last but not least, you get a lot of ‘bang for your buck’ from Doyle. We have bought 6 new sails as well as other performance enhancing items and at very reasonable prices. The Doyle team, led by Mike Sanderson and David Duff were just passionate, focused and very intelligent. Richard was all over every area with hands on involvement and now having Chris Nicholson driving the Australian end, it makes for comfortable commercial decision making. It is also great to work with GREAT blokes.

Trying new things is working well
From my perspective, we have seen Doyle Sails produce results from Supermaxis to Moths and also with SailGP. It is cool to see them developing in so many areas of the sport. They have an attitude of taking some risks and trying new things and its working well.

Highly recommend this exciting technology for any size boat
Comanche has been able to realise more of her potential with the addition of Doyle’s Cableless Sails, I highly recommend this exciting technology for any size boat. The big jibs and the A3 are very powerful yet significantly lighter than I expected, increasing acceleration with greater righting moment. The sails’ ability to hold their shape at all angles with virtually no luff sag is astounding on such big sails. We have reduced rig load dramatically with these sails and our performance improved in all conditions, particularly light air. Our new Doyle mainsail is exceptionally high quality and the reduction in permanent weight aloft gives immediate gains in all wind strengths.

Couldn't be happier
It was great to get back out on the water to race in the Young 88 Nationals. Dangerzone has a complete new inventory of Doyle sails with the latest design of the Structured Luff jibs. This gives the boat so much versatility across the wind range and made the boat very competitive in all conditions. I couldn’t be happier with the way the boat performed with the sails literally straight out of the bag. Huge credit to the team at Doyles.

Jibs fit perfectly!
Doyle Sails have designed, produced and fitted the new jibs for the AP and HAW wings that we are now using in SailGP. Straight out of the bag the jibs fit perfectly and cover all the ranges of breeze we expect. Speeds are going to be higher this season with the HAW wings, the little jibs to go with it providing the power needed, with little drag, to balance the boat perfectly. It is great to be back racing again and I can’t wait to get out ripping in Taranto soon!
