Esaom Cesa, also known as Cantieri Navali di Portoferraio, is a historic marina and shipyard. It provides the perfect moorings for superyachts exploring the Italian west coast and refit and repair services for vessels up to 65 metres (213 feet).

Sheltered marina in Italy

Located in Italy, just 500m (1,640ft) from the wonderful old town centre of Portoferraio, the Tyrrhenian Sea’s most sheltered bay, moorings at Esaom Cesa offer visitors a stunning island break.

With 300 berths for superyachts up to 65m (213ft) with a maximum depth of 5.5m (18ft), Esaom Cesa is situated in a well-protected position surrounded by countless sheltered anchorages and spectacular bays with crystal-clear water.

During high season, its marina operates a concierge service to meet the needs of all owners and crew members.

To ensure an even more enjoyable stay, Esaom Cesa arranges a series of special rates with amenities and businesses operating in Portoferraio and other locations on the island. Clients are offered a choice of traditional restaurants, wine bars, nightspots, grocery stores, hotels, museums and archaeological sites.

Shipyard

Esaom Cesa boasts 80,000sqm of fully equipped superyacht refit and repair facilities. It features 3,000sqm of sheds for indoor storage (for vessels up to 27m [88ft] high) and buildings equipped with a workshop, travel lifts, truck-mounted cranes and a hydraulic trailer. 

The yard’s logistical and environmental conditions are ideal for even the most complex yacht refits.

Dry storage

Esaom Cesa has large outdoor areas (80,000sqm) and indoor spaces (9,000sqm) for dry storage, seasonal maintenance or lengthy periods out of the water. Each area is well covered by water and electricity supply points. It also has specific areas with a pit to accommodate the keel bulbs/drop keels of large sailing boats.

Superyacht crew services

During ongoing work, crew are taken care of by Esaom Cesa’s dedicated staff who work tirelessly to ensure everybody is looked after. Its team is able to arrange accommodation, restaurants and travel bookings.
