Great time in Antigua!
I had a great time in Antigua studying and practicing to become a Yacht Master with Mirimar Sailing School. Brian and Pippa are a really lovely couple who have lived on the water most of their lives therefore have plenty of knowledge to share. I really do feel like i have come to understand what it takes to safely navigate a sailing vessel from point A to point B. Plus sailing around Antigua in tropical blue waters ant half bad either. Thanks again to Pippa, Brian and the Mirimar team it was lots of fun and I hope to see you again sometime on the ocean soon.

The place to do an RYA Sailing Course
Just spent a week on 'Danae' and successfully gained my RYA Competent Crew certificate, all thanks to Ian who was fantastic and helped me gain all the confidence I needed for sailing. Antigua certainly beats doing a course in the UK! Whilst I was on 'Danae', my husband was on 'Miramar' on a mile builder, non stop from Grenada to Antigua, what an experience he had building up his sailing knowledge - all thanks to Pippa. We booked the course from the UK, adding it the end of a Caribbean sailing holiday. All the planning and organisation was handled brilliantly by Brian. Thanks to the Miramar Sailing team and see you again next year!

Fantastic Experience
What a find. We had an amazing experience with Pippa for 5 days leaving Antigua and sailing over to Guadeloupe. We also got our coastal skipper qualification and we would recommend this RYA school highly! Why struggle in the freezing cold in the UK when you can enjoy the challenges of an RYA course in the Caribbean? A no brainer. Very professional and well organised company as well as nice people. Thanks.

Amazing 2 week exam prep
I did an amazing 2 week mile build/exam prep week from Antigua via St Lucia to Grenada and back. The consistent winds in this part of the world made for great sailing and scenery made it an experience not to be forgotten. Pippa, our instructor, was patient professional, hugely knowledgeable about the syllabus and a really wonderful person to put a cherry on the cake. During the 2 weeks we covered all the sailing and close quarter yacht handling aspects of the syllabus and more including customs clearance etc. I felt perfectly happy with my sailing skills. However, having come from a very busy job I had not had as much time as I would have liked to brush up on my theory, so whilst we did some on the practical training I realized I need more time.. no problem for Miramar, postponed my Exam a week and did the theory course that week with them. Of the 8 Students over the time I was with them... we all passed... 100% Miramar... job well done.! A massive thanks to Brian and Pippa. x
