Impressive!
I have now stopped at Puerto Calero Marina three times whilst on passage towards the Caribbean. I have always been warmly welcomed by the friendly and professional staff. The berth is accessible in all weathers and protected from swell in all but the rarest conditions. The docks are well maintained and more than adequate for a vessel of our size and above. Water and power are readily available on the dock and bunkering is easily arranged. The marina staff are extremely diligent and can act as an agent with a wealth of local knowledge and contacts. Provisioning can be done easily by hiring a car, this service is also available in the marina. It is well placed for the airport in case of guest/crew arrival or departure. The marina is vibrant by day and night with weekly markets, a selection of shops (including a convenience store) and a selection of good bars and restaurants should the crew be fortunate enough to have some down time. I have never wanted for anything and always left feeling great about my visit. I will always stop here in the future if it makes sense in my passage plan. Great place.
