Yachties United GmbH

The Yachties United community consists of yacht crew and industry professionals that are united by a desire to support one another and share knowledge. Founded by Margarita Amam, it has a dedicated website and public Facebook group created by Petra Untea.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24th February 2022, the focus of the group has been on providing support for the 600+ Ukrainian crew members and their families. Group members provide donations, accommodation and social services to those who are affected; the website provides the perfect platform for the two parties ‘I can help’ and ‘I need help’ to connect securely in an organised and comprehensive manner. The Facebook group is ideal for instant help or a sudden request.

The Yachties United community is helping to provide the following support for Ukrainians impacted by the war:

• Donations (financial, clothing, essential non-military items)
• Accommodation (short- or long-term)
• Transport (transfer of goods, transit for refugees)
• Social services (counselling, information, medical care)

The future of Yachties United

Beyond the support being provided to Ukrainian superyacht crew and their families, which will last for as long as necessary, Yachties United is intended to be a central place for crew, suppliers, designers, builders and brokers to share perspectives, open minds and bridge gaps in terms of gender and culture.
