The eureka moment of starting a uniform company came largely due to her experience as a chief stewardess, trying to source uniform from shops in Amsterdam and realising how difficult it was to purchase the same garment for so many different bodies. So, after realising that her new boss proposed to live on board, she decided to hang up her seafaring gear and take the plunge into starting Sea Design! And that was 31 years ago! Sea Design has continued to expand and Helen is also a co-director of Cabin Shop that looks after all your needs for linens, towels and luxury interior items.
