45m Admiral superyacht Flying Dragon sold

Superyacht Flying Dragon has been sold, it has been announced. Built by Italian yard Admiral in 2014, the yacht features an interior from Dobroserdov Design, exterior design from Luca Dini, and naval architecture by Tecnomar.

The all-aluminium vessel’s stand-out features include her light blue hull adorned with a uniquely designed blue dragon graphic on both sides, an embellishment which has had an equal share of admiration and criticism in the industry.

Flying Dragon was built for performance and comfort. The original owner decided against the conventional twin-shaft configuration for a more unusual triple waterjet installation with two steering jets and a central booster. The aim was not to increase the speed – the yacht can achieve 26 knots – but to enhance manoeuvrability, while also providing comfort and reduced noise levels on board.

The superyacht was sold in an in-house deal with Y.CO, with Jonathan Zwaans representing the seller and Will Christie representing the buyer. At the time of sale she was listed at an asking price of €8,900,000.
