Dutch shipyard, AMELS has announced the on-schedule launch of its latest 55m superyacht, from the Limited Editions 180 range.

In an official statement, AMELS puts the successful, on-schedule launch down to a “high-degree of planning and cooperation with the owner’s team, captain and crew.”

With over 20 Limited Editions yachts now having been launched, AMELS describes the latest 180 superyacht as being “one of the most refined and smooth-functioning yachts on the market.”

Tim Heywood undertook the yacht’s exterior design, while she is still currently awaiting the finalisation of her interior outfitting by Laura Sessa.

AMELS explained, “As outfitting continues, the yacht’s gleaming stainless steel highlights and stylish black accents provide a glimpse into the owner’s unique vision developed together with Tim Heywood.”

The 180 is able to reach a maximum speed of 15.5 knots, with a range of 4,500nm at a speed of 13 knots. Her owner’s suite features a folding balcony, with two additional balconies on the main deck saloon and an enlarged sun deck measuring 25m long, described as “a strong claim to being the largest sun deck you’ll find on any 55-metre.”
