Bridgeport Boatworks has welcomed Jay Mulrooney as its new head of business development.
Having grown up sailing on Nova Scotia’s south shore, and after years of racing both on and off the water, Mulrooney travelled to Newport, RI, and joined the crew onboard M/Y Fredrikstad. Over the following 18 years, he worked at Newport Shipyard in managing superyacht operations.
Mulrooney is known to those around the waterfront in Newport and in the islands of St. Barth's and Antigua where he used to support and help run the famous Wobbly Club B.Y.O.B Regatta.
Bridgeport Boatworks will be attending the 50th Newport Boat Show from 16th to 19th September where, among other things, it will be on hand to talk about its newest additions, including a 700m Marine Travelift.
