Yachting Pages has put several of the leading safety cases (and other associated products) to the test. The objective: to ascertain how each product performs and determine which one is best equipped to safely contain a lithium battery-induced fire.
The board of D-Marin is pleased to announce the appointment of Oliver Dörschuck as chief executive officer, effective 1st June 2021.
Dörschuck brings rich experience and a strong track record of outperformance in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries that will add value to D-Marin by “advancing our growth, setting new standards in the marina and yachting business and offering distinguished experiences to our customers”, according to a release.
Dörschuck joins D-Marin from SSP Group, a company that designs and operates restaurants at travel locations, including airports, railway stations and motorway service areas. During his tenure as CEO for Continental Europe, he outperformed market growth through innovative and efficient services and F&B concepts, winning tenders and acquiring and integrating competitors.
Before SSP, Dörschuck was part of TUI Group for 14 years, holding a series of senior roles, with the longest tenure as chief operating officer for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. It was through his leadership that the company initiated the TUI Customer Experience project to add value to every step of the customer journey using digital tools, a deep experience “we expect to replicate at D-Marin”. He created and launched several hotel brands around the Mediterranean region and is highly appreciated in yield management.
This appointment is a reflection of D-Marin’s long-term strategy to provide substantially differentiated customer experience through its ever-expanding marina network.
Dörschuck succeeds Steven Rudnitsky, currently D-Marin Interim CEO and chairman, who will continue supporting the business as chairman.
