LP Design UK has unveiled its new 75-metre (246-foot) superyacht concept, Galaxias. The British architect and yacht design studio revealed that the explorer-style superyacht will feature contemporary and practical detailing. 

The multi-storey superyacht will feature an expansive owner suite and charter-friendly stateroom arrangement. Galaxias will also boast state-of-the-art safety systems and luxury leisure facilities.

The design studio explained the addition of 10-metre (32-foot) main tenders, “In our experience, aside from a good bed and creative chef, the most important tool aboard for any vacation is a capable, big tender. It’s the action point of all the fun, once you’re at the destination. We actually design the yacht around the tender, one of the biggest elements aboard.”

In this design, we put these gorgeous craft on show, blatantly for display, right on the aft deck, where it’s most safe and practical to launch, with traditional, albeit automated davits. No tricks, no nonsense.  Where’s the ‘infinity pool’ to greet you?  Away from the public quayside, where it should be.”

Galaxias’ steel hull will be powered by twin 16-cylinder diesel engines, which enables a top speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a 7,000 nm range at an economical pace.
