More than 200 operators are currently working on the assembly of the 32nd edition of the International Boat Show Palma and the Palma Superyacht Show, both organised by the Institut d'Innovation Business, of the Balearic Government.
Electricians, decorators, carpenters, divers, plumbers, security and transportation workers -among many other professionals from different fields- are, according to the show, working tirelessly to finish the infrastructure for the 200 exhibitors.
The assembly will last until Wednesday night with the arrival of the boats and the exhibition material planned for Monday.
Furthermore, the fitting-out is held by the Brotherhood of Sant Pere FishermenAmarres deportivos, STP, Autoridad Portuaria, Lonja Chárter and the restaurant “El Pesquero”, where next Tuesday’s press conference will take place.
The counsellor of economy and competitiveness, Joaquín García, has said that the expectations for the International Boat Show Palma are "very positive" and will exceed last year’s numbers: from 36,000 to 40,000 visitors during the five days of show.
This year, it has been necessary to expand the surface area both on land and at sea to accommodate the demands of all exhibitors and boats: in total, the show will occupy an area of about 5,000 square meters and 180 moorings.
The show has also revealed that it will feature more than 2,800 brands from fifteen countries, an increase of 75% since 2012.
Yachting Pages Media Group will also be holding the launch party for the new 2015-16 edition of the Yachting Pages Mediterranean book at the Blue Café. The launch event will take place Friday 1st May at 5:00pm to 7:00pm. For more information on the launch, contact Yachting Pages.
