After visiting Toulon Bay in August 2014 for refuelling, 115m superyacht Luna has once again chosen the port of Toulon for a technical stop, highlighting the growing reputation of Toulon as the perfect place for a superyacht of any size to have a technical stop.
Toulon is one of the few global ports that can accommodate Luna’s 115m; in-fact, with two banks of nearly 300m and drawing more than 7m of water, the bay has suitable facilities for the largest vessels in the world.
According to Toulon Bay port authority, M/Y Luna chose the port of Toulon because of its comprehensive services, tranquil and secure infrastructure. The ship has already docked on the quays of Toulon in August 2014, where she completed a refuelling before heading towards other, more touristic destinations in the Mediterranean.
In 2015, it was reported that 167 yachts chose Toulon Harbour for wintering or maintenance/repair in the shipyards of La Seyne and St Mandrier. Toulon Harbour is also home to the largest repairs and maintenance site for yachts on the Mediterranean coast. In 2017, Monaco Marine will open their doors to a site, which will allow operating on catamarans, giving vessels even more reason to visit the area.
