Yachting Pages has put several of the leading safety cases (and other associated products) to the test. The objective: to ascertain how each product performs and determine which one is best equipped to safely contain a lithium battery-induced fire.
The Skyscreen Roller Surface blind, from leading marine shading experts Oceanair, is the ultimate combination flyscreen and shade system suitable for windows and hatches onboard boats and yachts of all sizes.
The key features include a 100% blackout shade that can be effortlessly deployed, with a simple magnetic handle system to secure it in place, whilst from the other side a flyscreen extends. This gives users the choice of full darkness, an airy light atmosphere keeping the bugs away, or a combination of the two, with the magnetic handle system meeting in the middle.
The Skyscreen Roller Surface blind is extremely versatile in all situations. The low profile design is suitable for horizontal or angled hatches, and the blind housing and fabric is 100% treated and marinised to stand up to the increased sun and UV environments encountered when on the water.
Available in the Oceanair Marine Retail Range and with size corners to match all major hatch brands, Skyscreen Roller Surface requires no recess or cavity for installation and can be simply flush-mounted with four screws to the headlining of any boat and existing hatches with the aid of the accompanying fitting guide. Alternatively custom sizes are available by special order and are manufactured in-house at Oceanair’s state of the art factory in West Sussex, England.
The Skyscreen Roller Surface blind is on special offer throughout June; please contact your local Oceanair distributor for further details and a list of participating stockists. www.oceanair.co.uk/distributor
