Oceanco’s Bravo Eugenia motoryacht secures Monaco explorer award

Dutch shipyard Oceanco’s recently delivered 109-metre (358-foot) Bravo Eugenia was granted the Technology and Innovation award at the Yacht Club of Monaco last week.

Oceanco worked in partnership with Lateral Naval Architects to develop the motoryacht which features a lengthened waterline, innovative layout, fuel-efficient hull design and incorporation of ecologically conscious technologies. Designed to add “slender elegance” and reduce the overall demand for propulsion power, the yacht’s engine room is condensed to a single level creating more room for lifestyle areas.

Bravo Eugenia also boasts an extremely powerful, yet eco-friendly, hybrid propulsion system, reducing fuel usage by up to 27%. She also offers a ‘whisper mode’, which prevents her from disturbing other yachts when entering and exiting ports.

Prince Albert II, president of the Yacht Club of Monaco, presented the award to Marcel Onkenhout, CEO of Oceanco, who accepted it on behalf of Bravo Eugenia’s American owners, Gene and Jerry Jones.
