Palumbo Group reveals new 52m explorer concept

Palumbo Group has revealed a new 52m explorer yacht concept named Tomahawk, designed by Marco Casali.

Described by Casali as a “yacht inside a ship”, Tomahawk has a total interior volume of 499 GT. Her naval architecture was developed in partnership with Insenaval, a research vessel specialist. 

On board Tomahawk, accommodation is available for ten guests in five staterooms located on the lower deck. Also on the lower deck is a private terrace for the owner, which features a sunbathing area and hot tub. The lower deck also offers direct access to a beach club measuring 300 sq.m, spa, gym, and six-metre swimming pool which converts into a basketball court.

Other standout features include a dining area with American-style bar, and a multifunction cinema / karaoke room. The aft deck features room for two 12m tenders, a submersible or four Jet Skis, and further water toy storage is available in the bow. A helipad is located on the upper deck and there is a central crane, able to launch tenders while also supporting the bimini shade.

Tomahawk will be powered by two 1,528hp MTU 12V 4000 M52R engines, able to reach a potential top speed of 15.5 knots, with a range of 4,000nm when cruising at 14 knots.
