The Boat Works invests in additional marine infrastructure

The Boat Works has invested in additional marine infrastructure to create the largest superyacht refit sheds on the Gold Coast. By increasing capacity, the new development offers boat owners and captains even bigger sheds with a 20-metre clearance.

The 20-metre-high sheds will bring 58 controlled working environments at the facility, and will ensure plenty of space for the installation of scaffold and scissor lifts while also providing an ample working and storage area.

Tony Longhurst, owner of The Boat Works, commented, “We are the destination for boat maintenance and have again lifted the standard for visiting boats catering to every need of owners, guests, captains and crews.”

The Boat Works Facilities.

The Boat Works facility showcases a collaboration of over 80 marine professionals, services and chandlery, all experts in their respective fields with each department delivering first-class service. The first vessels booked in for early 2022 are a sample of motor yachts such as tri-decks, luxury commercial vessels, several flybridge cruisers and a 30-metre passagemaker.

Shane Subichin, general manager at The Boat Works, said, “We offer variety and choice in everything at The Boat Works, including access to a collective group of over 80 marine businesses on site and all the other marine trade professionals and contractors within the Coomera Marine precinct on our doorstep.”

The Boat Works has recently welcomed 15 new marine businesses to the north yard since stage 3 opened in April 2021, with the latest on-site marine partners covering all aspects of marine, including Propeller and Sterngear maintenance by Watson Marine Engineering. The Boat Works is also set to welcome Bradford Marine Services, offering bespoke marine repairs with an industry reputation since 1995.
