Fully accredited by IAMI and the GUEST program, Purser Trainer specialises in yacht purser training. It is the first online course to offer one-to-one training and continuous support to crew members wishing to step up into the role of purser.

Purser Trainer pioneered the IAMI GUEST Purser Program, which consists of a comprehensive tuition framework, to provide students with the vital skills and in-depth knowledge required to be a successful purser—or to strengthen their capabilities if already in that position. The course is designed for experienced crew members looking to progress in their career.

Understanding that students are likely to be busy with guests, Purser Trainer provides flexible training with ongoing support and assistance. Students are given a secure personal login to access the course modules through the e-learning platform, and have one year to complete the full program.

The course program is divided into nine modules, six in-depth written modules, and three software programs.

Upon successful completion of the full course, students will attain an internationally recognised and accredited IAMI GUEST Certificate of Completion from Purser Trainer. Holders of the IAMI GUEST Purser Certification, who complete a recognised Advanced Leadership qualification along with fulfilling the required maritime service, will be eligible to apply for the IAMI Purser Certificate of Competency.

This course has definitely exceeded my expectations. The content was thorough, detailed, insightful, very clear & concise. It was laid out in a very logical order, so each module was built on the previous one. Angela was always available to assist when needed, & always enthusiastic, patient & helpful when doing so. I would highly recommend this course for anyone looking to go into a purser role or looking to upskill & gain confidence. Thank you so much for this experience!

A great amount of up-to-date information
Having been an industry professional for nine years, I walk away from this course feeling like I have truly earned this certificate. This course requires a great amount of study time and you have a true understanding of the course material in order to pass each module's oral assessment. This course provided me with a great amount of up-to-date information and documentation to help me confidently step into an administrative role on board a yacht.

Angie deserves a medal; she has the patience of an angel. If she can get me through this, she can get anyone through it. Angie really adapted her method of teaching to my method of learning without hesitation and really made me feel I had the support throughout that I needed to successfully complete this assessment. Fantastic! Thanks.
Angela’s knowledge and the platform in which this course is presented is incomparable. In my experience, online learning platforms are not easy to get right but this program is user friendly and very well thought out.I felt supported and well trained, Angela’s knowledge and the platform in which it is presented is just impeccable and works so well. The course work itself is thorough - honestly, I have done a law degree and would say the content was comparable! If you immerse yourself in this training, you will benefit immensely!

Highly recommend.
I greatly appreciated the flexibility of the course. In addition, being able to contact Angie at any time and/or schedule one on one zoom calls was a huge learning benefit. The oral assessment at the end of each module was a challenge, but certainly encouraged me to learn the material inside out

Very grateful!
I thoroughly enjoyed this course & have gained the knowledge and understanding of what is required of me as a purser. I took my time to fully understand each module, as well as get on with my own work & this was very beneficial to me as it is how I like to learn. Angela has a lovely warm and kind nature and ensures you fully understand something before you move on. Her extensive knowledge is admirable and It was an absolute pleasure having her as my teacher and confidant.

I am not sure how I would have pushed through without her
The personalised 1:1 calls with Angela were a complete winner. It made the learning experience better than I could ask for. The content is always updated with the latest info/ changes- which also ensures you are getting the most recent content to learn. Angela really is an expert in her field. She provides an easy-to-use platform with quality information, that really provided me with the tools and confidence to take on my next challenge. She helped me grasp the content with ease, made sure I understood the bigger picture and made so much extra effort to personalise my experience.
