Project Redwood, Lürssen’s new 140-metre (459-foot) motor yacht, has been pictured for the first time as construction nears its final phases. She has been designed by Venetian firm Nuvolari Lenard and constructed at Lürssen’s Berne-Warfleth facility near Lemwerder, Germany.
The vessel has been captured by photographer Christian Eckardt – see the pictures of Project Redwood now on SuperyachtTimes.
Redwood is set to be delivered in 2019, and will be one of the biggest superyachts in the world upon completion. Details remain scarce, but these new images hint at a fascinating bow style and impressive amount of interior space.
As revealed in 2017 when the project was announced, Redwood will boast a steel hull and aluminium superstructure with accommodation for up to 36 guests across 20 staterooms. She will also adhere to the Passenger Yacht Code.
Key features aboard the yacht are numerous, and include: Two helipads, teak decking, space for a fleet of tenders (including a number above 15 metres), a sports and diving centre, a partially covered swimming pool, at-anchor stabilisers, beach club, gym, spa, on-deck Jacuzzi, sauna, superyacht elevators and owner’s study.
Nuvolari Lenard has worked closely with owner’s representatives Moran Yacht & Ship on the project, which was sold in 2015.
