Actisense wins product accolade for second year running

Multi-award winning National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) specialists, Actisense, has received the prestigious 2016 NMEA Product of Excellence Award for their innovative Actisense NGT-1.

Phil Whitehurst, CEO of Actisense, received the 2016 NMEA Product of Excellence Award on behalf of the specialist marine electronics brand at the recent NMEA International Marine Electronics Conference & Expo held at the Naples Grand Beach Resort in Naples, FL. As voted by fellow NMEA members, the Actisense NGT-1 has been selected as the best NMEA 2000® Sensor of 2016.

The innovative product is the only intelligent NMEA 2000 gateway available, which can precisely transfer messages to and from the NMEA 2000 bus, enabling communication between the NMEA 2000 bus and the rest of the vessel's electronics devices. When used in combination with the innovative NMEA reader software from Actisense, the NGT-1 enables customers to view and diagnose any potential network problems with speed and ease. The device is available in two options the NGT-1 USB and NGT-1-ISO.

Last year Actisense was awarded the 2015 NMEA Product of Excellence Award for the EMU-1 Engine Monitoring Unit, making Actisense a consecutive winner of the NMEA Product of Excellence Award. This latest product award also marks the most recent success for Actisense, which has been honoured with seven business and industry accolades in the past 12 months.

Phil Whitehurst commented, “Our mission at Actisense is to be the installers product of choice.  To receive the NMEA Product of Excellence Award for the second-year running is an achievement myself and the entire team are immensely proud of. We will continue to develop the most innovative, high-quality products to the marine leisure and commercial markets to stay competitive and ensure all of our products are award-worthy.”
