Police are investigating an incident which saw vandals deliberately cut loose the 49.9-metre (164-foot) Westport superyacht owned by US education secretary Betsy DeVos.
Sustaining thousands of pounds worth of damage, the Westport 164 Seaquest was found drifting from its mooring on Lake Erie at Boat Basin, Ohio, last week. The yacht suffered large scratches after colliding with the dock, with repairs estimated to cost around £7,000.
Surveillance footage is now being reviewed by police to identify who is responsible for deliberately untying the yacht at 6.00am on Sunday 22nd July.
