Newly rebranded British yacht builder Fairline Yachts, is launching its first boat since the company was secured in January.
Having entered into administration at the end of last year, the future of Fairline Yachts was secured with new investment by two UK-based Russian investors in January 2016. The company was then rebranded Fairline Yachts, and is now being run by managing director Russell Currie, who has over 30 years’ relevant experience and prior to the role, was chief executive of Fairline North Mallorca.
The boat due to be launched, is the Targa 48 GT, a sports cruiser measuring 15.4m and featuring twin Volvo Penta Diesel engines allowing the Targa to reach a speed of 30 knots. She features three cabins on the lower deck, with a spacious upper deck and option for a submersible bathing platform.
Currie commented, “We are delighted to announce that this Thursday (3 March) sees the first boat to roll off our production line since our purchase of Fairline Boats from administration. This is a significant occasion and one we want to celebrate.
“We are delivering on our promise to complete all orders for boats received by the previous owners, a sign of our commitment to our loyal customer base and dealer network.
“We are building a great future for Fairline Yachts and are 100% focused on creating the highest quality luxury motor yachts that boaters want to own and our dealerships around the world want to sell.”
