Fully custom yacht Blue Jeans underway at Van der Valk

Dutch yard Van der Valk has begun construction on a fully custom superyacht project named Blue Jeans.

Designed by Guido de Groot, the 33-metre (108-foot) yacht will be used for “kicking back and enjoying long days of relaxation” with family and friends, the yard said.

Designed with extra high ceilings in the main deck and a raised bow, Blue Jeans will include a “wide range of innovative features”. These include a large garage for a Carbon Craft CC130 turbojet tender, which will be launched by a hydraulic swim platform.

A retractable diving board will also be integrated into the flybridge bulwarks while the main-deck lounge will feature balconies to port and starboard.

The large main-deck saloon, meanwhile, will feature a bar, three separate seating areas and a dining area forward with a “capstan” table that can transform into a games table. Glass integrated into the bulwarks will provide far-reaching ocean views from this area.

Power will come from two 2600hp engines for a top speed of 28 knots. Blue Jeans is due for delivery in summer 2022.
