New course in superyacht refit launching

Superyacht crew training company, Maritime Training Academy, is preparing to launch a brand new course on superyacht refit. The Diploma in Superyacht Refit course is being launched on 1^st April 2014, after the recent success of the Superyacht New Build Diploma.

The course is delivered through distance learning online, so students can learn at home, on-board or elsewhere. The Diploma has been written and designed by industry experts, who have actively worked in the field, with full tutorial support available.

The Diploma aims to develop and expand on students’ refit management skills, with topics including an introduction to refit management, basic law, contract law, project management and documentation. Other subjects consist of change orders, accountancy, payments and project completion.

According to Maritime Training Academy, “You will learn the skills required to manage Superyacht Refit project efficiently and effectively. By achieving this Diploma you will also substantially enhance your expertise by developing your specialist superyacht refit knowledge and therefore significantly improve your reputation and level of professionalism”

The course is aimed at a range of different professions, including captains, senior crew and engineers, lawyers, yacht managers, brokers, refit managers, owners’ representatives, shipyard employees and more.
