Oceanair premiers cutting edge Carbon Fibre Venetian Blind at Monaco Yacht Show 2012

Leading blind and shading solution specialists, Oceanair has pushed the boundaries of blind design and innovation into the next generation with the introduction of their latest concept: an all Carbon Fibre Venetian Blind, suitable for superyachts, properties and anyone with a taste for luxury. The blind will be premiered at Oceanair's Stand QS48 during Monaco Yacht Show 2012.

The classic venetian blind has been revolutionised in using carbon fibre as a material. Light, smooth, thin, glistening UV resistant carbon fibre, manufactured via the highly efficient filament winding technique, not only makes this new style accessible, but also maximises the visual benefits of the carbon.

The carbon slats are streamlined and sleek measuring just 50mm in width, between 0.6 – 1mm in slat thickness and with an approximate 80mm radius curve. For a precise cut and perfect finish, each carbon slat is specially cut to size using a state of the art water jet cutter.

The blind is available fully automated through Oceanair’s ‘Motor Menu’ with an effortless touch of a button, complete with a carbon valence and simply integrated into any central control system.

Designers and yacht interior specialists around the world can be assured that when it comes to delivering truly inspirational and challenging projects, Oceanair steps up to the mark every time. Oceanair sees this new innovation as part of their growing capacity to provide light management solutions and engaging products throughout the world without compromising on functionality.

Offering a highly personalized service to superyacht owners, designers and architects, Oceanair seeks to truly understand clients’ needs on any project. As one of the few shading specialists that offer in-house consultancy, design and build capabilities, as well as engineering and installation services, our strength lies in tailoring complete solutions that support our clients’ goals.
