Studio Delta announces plans for 2016 expansion

Dutch naval architects, Studio Delta B.V. has announced that they will be moving to new offices in early 2016, in order to cope with the increasing contracts recently won by the office.

Currently based in The Hague, the studio will move to their new location adjacent to the harbour, in order to allow for future development. According to the design office, it hopes that its seaside location will also be more inspiring for the team.

Speaking exclusively with Yachting Pages, Menno van Dijk, founder of Studio Delta said, “Studio Delta is proud to announced that we will be moving to new offices in the first half of 2016. This move has arisen from the success of past projects, and the increase that we are seeing in our future contracts.

“We have hired an experienced architect to create a good and inspiring working environment for the team. The new offices will offer us more space, and room to take on more staff in order to allow us to take on even more projects. This will add new talent to the business while allowing us to maintain the same high levels of service.”

Most recently, the studio announced that it was approached by Van Oossanen Naval Architects to partner on the design of Alia Yachts’ 41m displacement motor yacht. Now, with M/Y Rüya completed, the studio shared that it was involved in the configuration of the design, and in the engineering of the composite construction of the vessel.

Wampe van der Pole of the marketing department at Studio Delta, revealed that current projects at the office include work on the design of several motor yachts between 15m and 60m LOA. The studio hopes to release more information on these works in 2016.
