Hot Lab unveils 63m concept Aouda for Sarp Yachts

The Italian design studio Hot Lab has unveiled its latest concept for Sarp Yachts, 63m Aouda.

Designed to ABS and LY3 standards, if built, Aouda would have a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. The name is said to have come from the character Princess Aouda from Jules Verne’s 1873 novel, Around the World in 80 Days.

Aouda features a modern, refined interior, with the master suite finished in Sahara Noir marble, hold leaf, striped Delabrè brass and white walnut woodwork. The design also includes full custom leather upholstery, along with a 3D marble feature wall, inspired by coral reefs. Other standout features on board Aouda include the owner’s suite on the main deck, with direct access to the foredeck and five-metre spa pool.

Accommodation is available on board for 12 guests and features an owner’s cabin, three double bedrooms and two twins. Crew quarters allow for a staff of up to 14.

A helipad is available on the upper deck, able to double up as an entertaining space; there is also a second spa pool on the main deck and beach club with cocktail bar.

Aouda would be powered by two 1,500hp CAT 3512C diesel engines, allowing for a top speed of 16.5 knots.
