Latest LE180 motor yacht by Amels has been launched

Dutch shipyard Amels has revealed its latest Limited Editions 180 yacht was launched in Vlissingen last weekend (31st March). 

The 55-metre (180-foot) yacht has been built to Lloyd’s and MCA standards from a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure that encompass a total interior volume of 707GT.

Exterior styling comes from British designer Tim Heywood, while Laura Sessa Design is responsible for her interiors. 

Limited Editions 180’s key features include three foldout balconies and an extended sundeck, which measures an impressive 28 metres in length.

Accommodation is for up to 12 guests across six staterooms, while the crew quarters can house up to 12 staff.

Power comes from a pair of 1,308hp MTU 16V2000 M70 diesel engines, allowing for a top speed of 15.5 knots and an economical speed of 13 knots. She will be capable of a transatlantic range of 4.500 nautical miles, drawing on a total fuel capacity of 115,000 litres.

Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Dutch yard include the first Amels Limited Editions 188 yacht, which is due for delivery later this year.
